View from the cabin

Greetings from Seneca Falls:

Gosh, I think I missed a whole week.  Last week we spent the week in Buffalo, NY where we attended the Interim Ministry Network (IMN) Conference at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Buffalo.  It was a good conference.  I was to tired each night to blog.

We left Buffalo on Friday morning heading for Cayuga Lake State Park where we are camping from last Friday until this Friday.   Our Friends  Mary Alice and Dave from Findlay have a cabin on Cayuga Lake about 4 miles from the State Park.

Friday:  We arrived here around 2:30 p.m. and set up camp in our campsite.  After having lunch we did some much needed work around the camper.  Since we were so busy last week, we didn't have time to clean or get some things done around here.  Mary Alice and Dave arrived at their cabin around 5:00 p.m. from Findlay.  Since we arrived first we decided to talk dinner over to them.  We had beef hot dogs, we got in Canada.  We also had some really great corn on the cob, we found at a roadside produce stand, along with strawberries.  Dinner was great.

Saturday;  We headed to Mary Alice and Dave's and then to Ovid for a strawberry pancake fest at one of the churches their.  After breakfast we headed up town to watch the Strawberry fest parade.  Then we headed to the grocery store in Seneca Falls.  We both needed food.  Then back to Mary Alice and Dave's for pork roast.  It is always so nice to sit at their cabin and watch the lake.

Sunday:  Mary Alice and Dave picked us up to head to Geneva, NY and Presbyterian Church of Geneva.  It was graduation celebration.  After church we went to a cute little place for brunch.  After brunch we took in some wineries.  The scenery was wonderful.  Most wineries overlooked Seneca Lake.  Then back to Mary Alice and Dave's for hamburgers.  The wind came up and it cooled down a bunch.  We headed back to the camper early.

Monday:

Today we went into town to have a bagel.  Then off to the outlet mall for a little shopping.   We packed a picnic lunch before we left this morning.  We found a really neat wildlife preserve to enjoy our chicken salad, chips, and maple cookies.

After lunch we headed back to the campground to just chill.  We had planned to cook brats, but since we had lunch late, we decided dinner was cheese and crackers.

Tomorrow is another day!!

Have a wonderful day.
