Saturday

Katie and Robbie at Gymnastics
Katie had Gymnastics this morning, so we met Rob, Laurie and Katie at the gym to watch her.  After that we went back to Rob and Laurie's house for Katie to take a nap, Laurie to run 4 miles, and Grandma and Grandpa to hang out.  After lunch we went shopping at Kohl's.  When we got back to Rob and Laurie, we decided to head to the camper to let the kids have  an evening alone.

Hi Grandma

Thursday- Aurora Colorado

Our campsite at Cherry Creek State Park Campground
The sun was up this morning and the weather was a whole lot better than it had been all week.Since the day was suppose to be a lot warmer, we went up to the laundry room to wash  the jeans so we could hang them outside.  Then, I had two conference calls that day, so we didn''t go to far from the camper.  My first call was the Montreat Leadership Team for the August Art of Ministry Event.  Once that call was over, it was time for lunch.  Then the second conference call.  All in all we stayed close to the

Thursday night we headed to Rob and Laurie's for dinner.  Then headed back home.

Friday- Cherry Creek State Park

Our plans for the day was to head to Chatfield State Park to check out the park and the campgroound there.  Chatfield, is about 45 minutes from  Cherry Creek State Park.  Since the day was really nice, we decided to take out bikes so we could ride around the park.  We also took a picnic lunch.  We enjoyed our outing at the park.  When we left the park, we came back into town to shop at Sprouts, Target, Ace Hardware, Kohls,Goodwell, and Walmart.  Then back to the camper to get ready to go to Rob and Lauries for dinner.   We bought Katie a lawnmower.  We decided to order in.

Up early to head to Rob and Laurie's to keep Katie while Rob and Laurie went to work.  We had a great time with her.  I figured she would cry when Laurie left for work, but she didn't seem to mind.  In fact when Laurie left, Katie and I were reading  a book.  We had a wonderful time all day.  We played inside, and outside.  Katie helped me do the laundry, fix my coffee with the Kerig Coffee pot. She and Grandpa read books and magazines.  She laughed and played.  What a great day we had.  Of course she was glad to see her mom and dad come home.

Tuesday  Snow!!!!

Wow we woke up to 2 - 3 inches of snow this morning.  And brrrr it is really cold.  After being in Phoenix for the last several months, and leaving 92 degrees weather it is hard to take 18 degree weather.   The bad part is the park's main water supply is frozen, and we have no water from the park.  That wouldn't be bad, except that our on board water is getting low.  Harris was going to fill it yesterday, but when he went outside to do so their water main was already frozen.  So we are using our on board water sparingly.  Thank goodness the propane is holding up just fine.  Since we are on 50 amp, we are able to use the furnace and the electric heater.  We are toasty here in the camper.  I just don't want to go outside.

I will write more tonight after we return from seeing Rob, Laurie and Katie.  In the meantime, we will just try to keep warm.  We had a good time with Katie.

It looks funny to see a picnic table in the snow

Saturday

We began our day by going to the Overland High School to watch Katie in here Gymnsatics class.  This is a tots class of kids up to 3 yrs old.  What fun to watch Rob and Katie as she went through some of the things they were to do.  What a special time to watch them together.  We will go again next Saturday.
Rob and Katie

After Katie's class we headed to Panera for breakfast.  Then back to Rob and Laurie's before we headed to the outlet mall at Castle Rock.  After shopping, it was back to the kids's house for the afternoon and dinner. After dinner, we were having cookies and milk.  Katie was enjoying her cooking on her daddy's lap, when she saw Rob dip his cookie in his milk.  Well it wasn't long until she was dipping her cookie in his milk.  Ohh that was good, she thought.  It was so cute watching her dip her cookie in her daddies milk.  We headed back to the camper after Katie went to bed.

Umm Good

Sunday

We decided to attend church at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Aurora.  It is only about 10 min from the camper and about the same from the kids house.  We have attended there a couple of other times.  They are a small, but friendly congregation.  We enjoyed talking to a couple of couples, one who had been full time RVers for 7 years, before they settled down.  The other couple  winter in Tucson.  We plan to attend church again next Sunday.

After church, we headed Rob and Laurie's for lunch before we went to the Children's Museum.  What fun it was to see Katie in the toddler area.  She is so much fun to watch.  I love watching her.

After a couple of hours of play, we headed back to the kids for a nap for Katie, and Grandpa.  Then dinner.  Laurie had put a roast in the crock  pot for Italian beef.  Laurie is taking a cake decorating class, so she was working on decorating a her first cake.  It turned out just great.

Monday

Wow the warmest temps of the day were at 7:00 a.m.  41 degrees.  The temperatures continued to drop to 27 this afternoon.  We ran some errand this morning.  We wanted to go out before it got really cold.  We went into Walmart, it was a little breezy, but when we came out 15 min later it was cloudy, breezy, and getting colder.  We headed home.  By the time we got here the snow flurries were already starting.

A few hours later there was snow on the ground and it was COLD.  We are suppose to go down to 19 overnight.  I am sure glad we had two full tanks of propane before we left Sun City.  We are sure using them right now, plus the electric heater.

Snow outside our camper

We decided not to go over to Rob and Laurie;s tonight as it was to cold and messy.  We are missing a night with Katie.  I am disappointed about that.  But we will see her tomorrow night.  So we are here at home where it is warm and cozy.

Have a great day

Friday, April 19, 2013

We got up this morning early to no wind!!  What a great feeling to know it was not windy.  However, it was COLD.  Having gotten everything ready last night for an early departure, we were ready to leave before 7:00 a.m.  The weather was sunny, and no wind.  The trip to Denver was uneventful.  We made really good time and arrived here at 4:00 p.m.  I was really surprised that I didn't see any snow along the way. It seemed there was a lot of snow coming down.    When I asked Laurie about where all the snow went, she said it was melted by afternoon yesterday.  Guess that is what it does around here.

We made arrangements to meet at Rob and Laurie's house before going to the club house for dinner.  Since Katie has not seen us since November, she was shy with us, however, I did get smiles from her.  I know she will get used to us in not time.  Oh my gosh she has changed so much since we saw her in November.  She has really grown up.

We had dinner at their club house.  Katie is a very good little diner for only being 17 months.  I was totally amazed at how much she ate.  They ordered her chicken fingers, and fries.  She ate almost all the chicken fingers and some of her french frys.  Plus she had 3/4 of a snack bar.  She loved playing with her dad's water.

After dinner we headed back to Rob and  Laurie's house.  I was totally amazed that Katie wanted a banana.  And she ate the whole thing.

We headded home fairly early as we were really tired.  It was a long trip.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

In front of our camper at Krazy K
Monday, April 15

“On the Road Again”  Up early to finish packing.  We were not planning on checking out until after 9:00 so we could turn in our mail key to the office.  So we didn’t have to hurry to get things finished.  Around 8:30 David and Janice came to tell us goodbye.  Shortly after they arrived Gaye and Cork came by.  Then our neighbor, Kathy came over to tell us goodbye.  What a wonderful set off.  They all left before we pulled out, saying they didn’t want to see us go.

Our trip was short as we were only going to Camp Verde, AZ (about 2 hrs) where we were spending the night at Krazy K Campground for the night.  Our reason for stopping there  was to meet up with Bridget and John Hatch.  We met they two years ago at a DRV Rally and have not seen them since.  They too are full timers and we don’t seem to be in the same area.

We arrived shortly be for lunch.  Bridget and John came over to our camper and we all went to the Verde Lei Market for lunch.  What a great place.  We both had a Torta.  After lunch we went back to their camper for a little while and then back here to ours.

Moving Day????  We got up to high winds and I-40 closed from Flag Staff to Windslow.  So we decided to stay here at Krazy K one more day.

Our day was eventful.  After breakfast and a walk around the park, we headed into Cottonwood to  walked around the stores before having lunch at Tavern Grille, where we enjoyed a great meal and a good beer.

When we left Cottonwood we headed for Tuzegoot ruins.  While there I got a text from Janice saying they were heading up here.  We were thrilled that they were going to make the trip all the way up here to see us.  They arrived just before dinner.  Harris fixed brats, while I made a salad and opened a bag of chips.  We were so glad to see them.  Their surprise for us was their new Honda CRV.  They also brought my very special four legged friend Sadie to visit me one more time.  It was really hard seeing them leave.  We will sure miss them.  But will look forward to catching up with them somewhere.  Plus we will see them again when we get back to Paradise.

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Moving day!!  It looks like we will be able to head out today.  The winds are down so it should be a good day.  We hope to get to Albuquerque this afternoon.  We are note in any real hurry as they are having snow in Denver.  So we may end up staying somewhere another day waiting for their weather to get better.

We arrived in Albuquerque this just before dinner.  Our day was uneventful, except for the weather.  We had sun, clouds, snow, snow flurries, snain, and dry all in one day.  The winds, however were not to bad.  Just before we arrived at "Enchanted Trails RV park, the winds began to pick up.  The temperatures had already dropped a bunch since we left in the morning.  While Harris hooked everything up, I stayed in the truck waiting until I could run inside the camper to get the slides out and the furnace on.  The winds rocked us all night.

Thursday, April 18, 2013

Before we went to bed, we heard on the news that Raton Pass, on I-25 north, was closed at the Colorado border. So we knew our plans may be changed a bit. This morning it was still closed and was going to be until 6:00 p.m. tonight. With that our decision was made to stay here one more day. While up at the office renewing for one more night, several others were coming in doing the same thing.

The winds have been really high all day.  I am really glad we are not out on the road.  Our day was very uneventful.  We made a Walmart run, and stopped at Camping World.  Then back home to catch up on some computer and paper work.  (which is all needed anyway).

We are hoping to make Denver tomorrow late afternoon.  So we are praying this wind dies down or just goes away.  We are also praying the roads are dry and no problems as we head over the pass.

Until next time:  Have a good day.

April 15 - Tax Day!

Well it looks like I have not bloged in over a week again.  It seems like our last week at Paradise was a really busy one.  We did so many lasts for this year.

Monday, April 8

We skipped the  bike ride to have breakfast with Rick and Sharon. Jacob was admitted to the hospital,so Rick an Sharon went to the hospital to see him.   We headed out to do some other errands we wanted to run before the bad weather came.  Around 10:00 a.m. the wind picked up and continued to build as it the day went on.  Finally late afternoon, the winds got really strong, and the dust was flying.  Then the rains came.  It rained mud.  The bad part of is Harris had just finished washing the camper on Saturday.  In fact he had just cleaned the windows on sunday.  After the "mud rain" the windows were totally covered.  We were looking out through spotted windows.   Needless to say we spent the rest of the day inside.  it was way to nasty to be outside.

Tuesday, April 9,

With Jacob in the hospital we decided to go spend some time with him.  He was in ICU, trying to recover from pnomenia or fluid in his lungs.  He was on massive antibotics and oxegyn.  We spend about 2 1/2 hrs visiting with him. While we were visiting him the pulmaoligist  came in and reduced his oxygen from 32L to a regular flow.  That was good news.   We left to go get some lunch.  Then home.

Janice and David fixed dinner for us that night.  We had chicken, mac salad, veggies, and wine.  What a great meal from our great friends.

Wednesday,  April 10

Janice and I walked early in the morning while Harris was at church meeting with the staff of Faith church.  Then home to work on his sermon for Sunday.   We didn't do anything else special the rest of the day.

Good news!!  Jacob was transferred out of ICU to a room upstairs.

Wednesday night David, Janice, Harris and I went out to eat at "Bitsy Mama's" Mexican restaurant in Glendale, AZ,, only to find out they close on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m.  We were there at 6:00.  So we went to the German restrauant .  After oour meal, we walked over to look at a ventage hotel that has been turned into a B&B.  Luckily, while we were there we ran into the owner who was giving a tour to a couple of other people.  She asked us to join them. It was really neat to see how they had refurbished the old hotel.  We also found out they have live music on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Thursday, April 11

PEO social luncheon at 11:00.  Jan Powell picked me up and we headed off to the Sun City Country club for the luncheon.  This was my last meeting until we return next fall.  It gave me a chance to tell my PEO sisters goodbye for now.  Harris was having coffee with a friend.

Thursday afternoon, Harris was working on his sermon, so I went down to visit with Janice and David.  After he worked on his sermond, he said he needed to do something physical.  So he went out to wash part of the camper.   Thursday night we were on David and Janice Deck again for happy hour.

Friday, April 12

I was really excited about our trip to the Mesa Swap meet.  I have been waiting all season to go.  Gaye, Cork, David and Janice and us left Paradise at 8:30 to take the trip to the swap meet.  It took us over an hour and half to get there.  Mesa Swap meet is a very big flea market.  We walked around the whole place.  Then off to lunch at the "Four Peaks Grill and Tap" in Scottsdale.  After lunch we stopped at the hospital to see Jacob.  He had been sleeping when the nurse woke him up to take his vitals.  So we didn't stay long.

After we got home, we decided to have snacks on the deck for dinner.  Janice and I put together what ever snacks we had on hand, and took them to her house.

Saturday, April 13

Laundry day!!  In our plans to get ready to leave Paradise, Saturday was to be laundry day.  Janice and I walked while the wash was going.  Harris was home finishing up his sermon for Sunday.  After the laundry was done, we headed out to the grocery store to buy some things we needed.  Then, I went for a bike ride and ended up at David and Janice's.  After dinner we headed back to the deck to spend some time with Janice and David.

Sunday, April 14

This morning Harris was preaching at Faith Presbyterian Church.  We headed to church so I could sing in choir and he could get ready to preach.  I had invited Gaye, Cork, Janice and David to come to worship.  I had asked them to sit on the right side of the sanctuary, so I could join them after the choir sang.  Harris's sermon was really good. I hadn't realized how much I miss his preaching.  But after the week of preparation, I am glad he is not preaching every week.  I missed him doing things with me.

After worship, the 6 of us went to lunch at JiMichaels.  I had invited Barb (my friend from church) and her neighbor Ron, but she declined.  She had lots to do to get ready to leave for Kansas on Monday.

We got home after lunch and go busy getting things ready to head out on Monday.   Plans for a pitch in dinner at Janice and David's were put together at the last minute.  Janice and I headed to the grocery store to pick up some things.  Cork, Gaye, Margie, Perry, David, Janice and Harris had a get together one more time, until we all return.

We were leaving on Monday.  Gaye and Cork are leaving on Tuesday.  Margie and Perry are leaving on Wednesday.  Janice and David will be there another week or so.

Saturday

We were up early and off to walk around the park (about 3 miles).  Back home, we sat outside to enjoy a cup of coffee before we had breakfast and got ready for the day.  Later in the morning we went out to run some errands.

Later in the afternoon, we went to Cork (Cordell) and Gaye's to help get ready for the gathering of several people for our pot luck.  There were 10 of us for dinner.  We had a great time.  It was sort of our going away get together since we all will be leaving in the next couple of weeks. We had hamburgers, brats, potato salad, Cole slaw, and cake for dessert.  Prior to our dinner we had snacks.

Sunday

We arrived at church this morning at 8:00 a..m. to rehearse for our morning anthem.  It was Celebration of Women Sunday, so the guys didn't have to sing.  This would have been the last Sunday for Harris to sing since he will be preaching next  Sunday and not singing.

After church we met Jacob at Boston Market for lunch.  It is always fun being with him.  Chelle had other plans so she could not be with us.

Later, we headed out for a long bike ride with David and Janice.  It is always good to go out and bike ride.

Have a wonderful day
Thursday

Exercise in the morning, Thursday is our 3 mile walk fitness class.  Our class has gotten smaller as people have been leaving.  In the February and March we would have as many as 20 people in our class, we now have 6 or 7.  Next week they will have even less as we will be gone.

After class it was laundry day!  While the laundry was washing, I went over to the pool to get some sun.  When the wash was done, I headed back to hang the sheets and several other things in the "solar dryer"(clothes lines outside the laundry room).  It is so nice to be able to hang so many of our clothes outside on a line.  While the other clothes were in the dryer I headed back to the pool area to enjoy a little more sun.

After lunch Harris went over to church do some planning for services next Sunday.  Since he will be the guest preacher at Faith Presbyterian Church, here in Sun City.  I am really looking forward to his preaching again.

Thursday afternoon, I took a bike ride around the park to take some pictures of the flowering cactus.  Their blooms only last a day.  So you have to catch them.

Harris cooked chicken on the grill for dinner and we ate outside.  It was beautiful.

Friday

Exercise again this morning.  Today it is strength training with walking and bands.  We really feel so much better after we exercise.  After breakfast, and getting ready for the day, Jan Powell picked me up to go shopping at some consignment shops in Scottsdale.  We ate a wonderful lunch at Seasons 52.

While I was out of the camper, Harris worked on his sermon for next week.  Good planning!  When I got home he was ready to do some active.  We decided to go on a bike ride around the park.  Cork and Gaye went with us.  If we do every street in the park, we ride 4 miles.  Not a bad ride.  Our ride gave us another chance to look at the flowering cactus

Have a great day

Wednesday

We began our day with exercise class. Today is kick boxing, my favorite. After exercise we got ready for the day. We decided we would go to Paradise Bakery for breakfast.  After breakfast we headed to Antheim outlet center to do some shopping.  We had a great day.

Tonight we began East Coast swing classes. We didn't think we would begin that class as we only have a couple more weeks left but Gaye and Cork asked us to go with them. It was a little different, but I think we will like it once we get into it. We still will only have one more week , if we decide to go next week.   We just need to practice

We now will know Arizona 2-step, West Coast Swing, and a little of East Coast Swing.  Something's to do at a country western dance.

Have a great day !

Friday, March 29

Exercise in the morning, then home for an egg sandwich.  After that, I went for a bike ride down to Dave and Janice's to tell her kids goodbye.  They were leaving for home after the ball game.  Then back home to run some errands.

Friday late afternoon, we went to David and Janice's house to talk to them about how their week went with the kids and grand kids.

Saturday, March 30

Our day began with a walk around the park to get in our almost 3 miles.   Sometime after breakfast, Harris put the Pork Spare ribs on the grill to brown them prior to  simmering in barbecue sauce.  Later it was a bike ride around the park with David and Janice.  Saturday afternoon, we went over to Dave and Ellen's  (our pastor and his wife) house.  I made them a rug as a retirement gift.  I think it will look nice in their Flagstaff home.  Ellen was thrilled to get the rug as, she said her mom used to make rag rugs.  I was so grateful that they liked it.

It was home for a early dinner before the country western dance at the ballroom.  We planned to meet David and Janice, and Cordell (Cork) and Gaye up there.  As we were walking to up there, we met David and Janice on Paradise St as they were walking up to the ballroom.  Cork and Gaye arrived shortly after we got there.  A couple of other couples from either our AZ 2-Step or West Coast Swing class, joined us at our table.  What a fun night.  We were able to practice all the steps we have learned in both classes.
We sure are going to miss our connections with dancing.  We will need to find some way to keep up our dancing.

Sunday, March 31

Easter Sunday!  Christ is Risen!  Christ is Risen Indeed.   We had a 8:00 a.m. choir call to practice our Easter music.  We had 3 strings that played with us.  It really sounded GREAT.  In fact I think our anthem was really great too.  It was a sad day as well it was the last service Pastor Dave would have at Faith Church.   It was also the last day Ellen would be the Parish Nurse of Faith Church.  The congregation will miss them both.  Our interim pastor will not begin until April 15th.  Next Sunday, our Associate Pastor, Gloria will be preaching.  The following Sunday, April 14th, some guy named Harris Schultz will be preaching.

After church we went into fellowship hall to tell Jan and Rory goodbye as the were heading back to Minnesota on Monday.  I sure will miss them.  Thank goodness Barb isn't going to leave until around the time we do.

We didn't stay to long in fellowship hall as we need to get home to get things ready for dinner with Rick, Sharon, Jacob and Chelle.  They arrived around 1:30 p.m. We ate around 2:15.  We had barbecue spare ribs that had been simmered in barbecue sauce.  potato salad, cole slaw, homemade mac and cheese, green bean casserole, salad, bread, ice tea, or lemonade.  Sharon brought cookies for dessert.

Before the kids left, Janice, David, Cork and Gaye came down to meet all of them.  I had wanted them to meet the kids.  After the kids left, Janice, David, Cork and Gaye stayed around to talk.  It was fun having them here.  I am really glad they got to meet our kids and I am glad our kids got to meet our friends.

After cleaning up the mess from dinner, I dropped into a chair.  I was pooped.  I fell asleep in my chair by 8:30.  We were both in bed by 9:00.  I think we were both really tired.

Monday, April 1

Happy April Fools day!  Of course we didn't have any April fool's jokes played on us.  Monday it was our last official bike ride.  We only had 16 on the bike ride.  What a difference a week makes.   We had brunch at JiMichaels at the lake.

After we got home, I headed to Kathy's to pick up another one of her rope baskets.  I had seen this basket with another women, who thought she was going to buy it.  But since she didn't I decided to buy it.  I love Kathy's baskets.  While at her house, I had a class of lemonade with Kathy and Lee.  They will be here for a little while longer.

It was back home.  On Monday's since we have brunch at 10:30, we don't eat lunch. We usually have an early dinner.  That works the best as I have line dance lessons at 6:00.   Janice attended my line dance class, so after class we walked home together.

Tuesday, April 2

This morning we were up and headed up to exercise for our 4 mile walk workout.  This is not my favorite date of exercise, but we go anyway.  It is a great workout.  When we got home we had breakfast, showered, and got ready for the day.  Then I went for a 3 1/2 mile walk with Janice. Then home for lunch before AZ 2-Step class at 1:00 pm.  After dance class we had to go to the grocery store.  It seems like we go to the store a lot.  I know it is because we don't have room to store that much food.

We had left overs for dinner.  Then Harris washed the back side of the house (camper), while I cleaned up the kitchen.  Then to watch Dancing with the Stars.  Which is what I am doing right now.

Have a wonderful day.

Monday, April 1, 2013

Whoops, I missed a week!

Gosh how time flys when you are having fun.  I will try to catch you all up on what has been going on with us.

We returned home from Richmond, a week ago Saturday, after a looooong plane ride. Our plane ride from Richmond to Charlotte went without a hitch.  Soon after we boarded the plane for our 4 hour ride home, we learned  they were having some mechanical problems and we would be delayed.  We went back to the gate, where we sat for the next 2 1/2 hours. To top it off, Harris and I were not sitting next to each other.  We were both in the middle seat one in front of the other one.  The person in the Aisle seat grumbled all the while they were working on the problem.  After we finally got underway, he never stopped grumbling except for when he was asleep.  He also took his half out of my middle.  It was not a great ride.

We were both really glad to be back in Phoenix.

Sunday, Palm Sunday

We attended worship at Faith Church and sang in the choir.  After church we had a celebration to celebrate the retirement of our pastor Dave and his wife Ellen.  Their last Sunday will be Easter Sunday.  What a great tribute to both of them.  They will be missed.

Sunday afternoon, we checked in with Dave and Janice, since their Son, Daughter in law, and their 3 grand kids where coming later that afternoon for a weeks visit.  Before the kids got here, the 4 of us went out to dinner.

Monday

I got us with a really bad back ache, so we decided not to go on the bike ride.  I didn't think I wanted to ride 14 miles with a back ache.  That worked out for the best since we needed to be at home for a conference call at noon.  After the conference call, we headed to Verizon to get new phones.  Since my phone has not been charging for quite some time.   I thought I would get a Iphone, but went home with a Droid again.  We both set on the Razor MAX.  So we have been learning a new phone.

At 6:00 I headed up to the ballroom for line dance lessons.  Harris barbequed chicken breasts while I was gone.  It was so nice to come home to a home cooked meal after dance.  Then we settled in to watch "Dancing With the Stars".

Tuesday

We didn't go to exercise class as my back was still hurting a lot. I headed up to the laundry room to get the laundry going.  Harris stayed at home to get some paper work done.  With the laundry done, I came home for an early lunch since  Arizona 2 step class is at 1:00 p.m..  We are really enjoying AZ 2-step.  Later that afternoon, I went down to Janice and David's to meet their kids and grand kids.  Janice was getting ready to take the kids to the pool and asked me if I wanted to go too.  We have not been to the pool yet this year , so I thought it would be fun to go.

Wednesday

Exercise class was first on our agenda.  I love Wednesdays as it is "kickboxing"  That is my favorite day.  After breakfast, etc.  I decided to get the rugs washed.  While the rugs were in the washer, I went out to the pool to relax.  I didn't get back to the washer for almost an hour.  I found several people to talk to.

Wednesday afternoon, Janice to say they had an extra ticket to the Royals and Cubs game that night.  It was a great opportunity for me to go see a spring training game.  So Janice, her son, Dennis, his wife, and one of their 3 kids and me, went to the game.  It was fun being at the game.  I think I will talk Harris into going to a game next year.  It was a lot of fun.

Thursday

Exercise class first thing in the morning.  Since we were going to Jan and Rory's for dinner, I needed to make potato salad for our cook out.  Our plan for the meal was to eat early since Harris and I had to be at church at 6:00 to sing with the choir for Maundy service.  We arrived at Jan and Rory's house before Ann and Gary or Barb.  Jan and Rory provided hamburgers, Ann and Gary brought pea salad, and Barb brought salad and dessert.  At 6:00 Harris and I went to church and the others followed at 7:00 p.m.  After services we all went back to Jan and Rory's house for dessert.  Jan and Rory will be leaving on Monday.
